Women's Missionary Union
WMU meets each month, often with an optional salad luncheon following. Meetings include Bible study and prayer. Look for the date, time, and other particulars to be announced each month!
WMU exists to encourage MBC to build awareness and involvement in mission activities. One of the ways this is accomplished is through a quarterly mission project directed to local missions. Such local missions include Rachel Sims, Carver Center, Friendship House, Brantley and Global Maritime Ministries.
WMU helps MBC have prayer emphasis for missionaries and their needs. We promote current offerings and week of prayer for each of the following throughout the year: Foreign Mission Board "Lottie Moon", North American Mission Board "Annie Armstrong", LA Baptist Convention "Georgia Barnett", the Baptist Children's Home Food Drive and the Baptist Association of New Orleans.
